Jason joined UPLAND as a planner with a background in community engagement, policy development, and regulatory control. His primary interests lie at the intersection of healthy, sustainable, and safe communities established through community-based initiatives. His planning practice is supported by a framework that emphasizes meaningful engagement and systematic analysis that is accessible to all.
Jason graduated from the University of Calgary with a BSc in Geography before completing the Master of Planning program at Dalhousie University. Throughout his academic and professional career, Jason has utilized geospatial, statistical, and policy analysis to uncover trends and narratives in local contexts. After receiving his Master of Planning degree, Jason began his career in Chester, Nova Scotia as a Planner where he assisted in the review of the Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law.
